Made by RVers,
for RVers.
RV Folks is a free, independent website for people who love life on the road. It brings together practical RV guides and simple calculators, from first-time renters to full-timers.
Why RV Folks exists.
“Every guide starts with a question from our family on the road.”
RV Folks started with a simple problem: every trip we planned meant twenty browser tabs and advice that was either too technical or too vague.
My family has been RVing for years, and they know what works on the road. I turn what they’ve learned into clear, step-by-step guides, so you can skip the twenty browser tabs.
I use AI tools to help research, draft and edit our guides and to make the illustrations. You can read more in our Disclaimer.
Who’s behind RV Folks.
“I want every guide to read the way I’d explain it to a friend at the next campsite.”
Matthew Raven
Founder & writer at RV Folks
I’m Matthew Raven, the founder of RV Folks. I build the website and put the guides together, with a family of RVers riding along.

Built for questions we kept asking
My family kept doing the same math at camp: will we clear that bridge, what will fuel cost, can the truck pull this?
So I turned them into free calculators that give a quick answer on your phone and explain the numbers.
Guides for every stage of the trip
From your first night at a campsite to winterizing at the end of the season, our guides walk you through it step by step.
We add new articles regularly. You can browse by category or search for the exact question you have.
The fun lives on Facebook.
Guides and calculators live here. On Facebook you’ll find RV memes, quick tips, short reels and a friendly RV community.
