Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: November 5, 2026
RV Folks is free to read, and we may earn money in two ways: affiliate links and advertising. Here is how it works and what it means for you.
1. Affiliate links
Some articles on RV Folks may contain affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission from the seller. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is the same.
That commission helps us pay for the site and keep our guides and tools free.
2. How we recommend products
We aim to mention products that are relevant and useful for RVers. Earning a commission doesn’t change what we write or the price you pay.
We don’t claim to have tested every product we mention. When we have used or tested something ourselves, the article says so.
3. Amazon Associates
When an article links to Amazon products, the following applies:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.
4. Other affiliate programs
We may also join affiliate programs run by other retailers, brands and affiliate networks. The same rules apply to all of them. If you buy through one of our links, we may earn a commission, and it doesn’t cost you extra.
5. How you can tell
We tell you about affiliate links in two ways:
- At the top of the article. Any article with affiliate links starts with a short notice, before the first link.
- In the code of the link. Affiliate links are marked “sponsored”, so search engines know they are paid links.
6. Advertising
RV Folks does not show ads at the moment. If we add display ads in the future, we may earn money when they are shown or clicked. Ads would not be recommendations from us, and we would say so here and in our Privacy Policy before they go live.
7. Sponsored content and free products
We don’t currently publish sponsored posts. If we ever publish sponsored content, or write about a product that we received for free, we’ll say so clearly in that article.
8. Emails
Our newsletter links to articles on rvfolks.com. We don’t put affiliate links directly in our emails. Any affiliate links are on the website, with the notice described above.
9. Prices and availability
Prices, deals and availability can change at any time. Check the seller’s page for current details before you buy. We aren’t responsible for the products, service or policies of the sellers we link to.
10. Why we tell you this
We follow the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidance on endorsements and affiliate links (16 CFR Part 255), which says that a “material connection” between a website and a seller should be clearly disclosed. We also want you to trust what you read on RV Folks.
